“In April 2011 we gave up our camper trailer and we bought a Tray-Tek camper for the back of our Mazda BT50 Freestyle ute. Soon after we embarked on a 32,000 km journey to various parts of Australia, in particular Western Australia.

We drove some of the roughest tracks including the Birdsville Track, part of the Savannah Way Borroloola – Roper Bar – Mataranka, the Gibb River Road, Cape Leveque Road and into the Bungles Bungles.

Home for this five month expedition was our very cosy Tray-Tek camper. It was so convenient not towing a trailer, we could go anyway and not have to worry about parking or access. Indeed we managed to get campsites in some popular places because we were so compact.

Never once did we wish for a motel room – even when it rained.

We love the bed better than our bed at home. A nice cup of tea or a cold drink and a snack were always at our fingertips. It was simply GREAT. We can’t wait to go camping again!”
